  • Decisions...

    Ugh.

    Should I get the fabulous camera at the great deal?

    Or should I be responsible and pay off the credit card?

    Dang. I think I better pay off the credit card. That will feel good too.

    The economy still sucks so there will be good deals again, right? Right.

    :But I really want the camera because the falling leaves are SO pretty and soon the snow and Christmas will be SO pretty and even Jeremy says I deserve something for myself:

  • Pay off the debt. Trust me!! We've been trying to pay ours off for almost 2 yrs now. The camera can wait, you have a perfectly good working one right now. I too want a DSLR camera bad! I've been wanting one for a good 6 mos, same with an LCD 52" TV, I think I've been wanting that for a good 3 yrs, but both Tyler and I decided these are wants, not necessities and until we were out of debt and had the money to pay for these things out of pocket we weren't going to get it. I'm hoping next Christmas they'll both happen. HOPEFULLY we'll be out of debt my Oct 09. 

  • See that last person is the angel on one shoulder and I will be the devil. Your right the debt should be paid off but that is a really good deal. So what I would do is get it and then when you get your extra check I would stick that right on the credit card! 

  • Depends. I say if you have something you can reasonably pay off than don't worry, but if it's an amount that will take time and more $$ than pay that off. I remember I wanted my DSLR so bad that I wanted it by Thanksgiving 2006, but I had to wait till January of 2007. It was worth the wait because DSLR's function differently than a point and shoot, and I had to learn how to work everything. Things are only pretty if you know how to work your camera.

  • i'm thinking paying off the debt is what the prophets say to do and speaking from experience when you don't do that, but you can, and you instead just buy more, it gets harder to pay those debts off :( and inkley's WILL have more deals. they are REALLY good at sucking you in and making you think that this is the only deal that will ever be worth it, but i happen to also know that they'll have more. you could get yourself something less pricey and put the rest to the debt. ??

    and it's true about learning how to use the slr's. that's quite an adventure right there! :)  good luck either way!
