I'm back! Again.
So for the last three days I've felt this compelling urgency to chronicle my life. I feel like I need to be documenting every little thing both here and especially in my private journal. I will also be making regular private and protected entries here since life is a bit complicated right now. I'm excited about it though. I really need to get my writing back in shape anyways before I go back to school this semester.
Does this routine seem to be getting old to anyone? I get all motivated and then post twice and you don't hear from me for another month?
I blame Twitter.
But on the the chronicling. I've been on a whirlwind of a vacation for the last three weeks. Forgive me for giving you the short version. When all my photos are put on facebook I'll let them speak for themselves. We started in Orlando on June 10th. (My dad's 50th birthday.) We did all the Disney parks, Planet Hollywood, the new T-Rex cafe with Casey and Michael, SeaWorld, and a host of other things I'm sure I've forgotten. We did ride the monorails which had an accident today killing an employee. Scary.
We went up to NC long enough for my dad's 50th birthday party, my 5-year class reunion, and church on Sunday. Then we were off to Virginia. We stayed with my grandma and spent the days in Washington DC. We rode the Metro the day after the big metro crash that killed 9 people and injured dozens. That was pretty intense. All the trains were being operated manually since the crash may have been the result of a computer glitch. So the rides were rough. But safe! We did 4 or 5 Smithsonian museums and went to the Holocaust Museum a week after they'd had that shooting. I was a little nervous as we went through the metal detectors but everything turned out alright.
Then we came back to NC long enough to go to church again and that was about it. Jeremy flew back to Utah for work. Joey got to see a few of his old school friends, and that was really nice. They seemed to have a blast riding golfcarts around our house.
Then we drove down to South Carolina for a friend's wedding. It was a great time. The wedding was small and simple but very elegant and fancy at the same time. I really enjoyed it. It was at a fancy pants club on Daniel Island which is near Charleston and the Isle of Palms, where I lived for four years. I've really got to get Jeremy down there sometime. It's so gorgeous.
And now I'm back in Utah with my husband, my cat, and my teenager where I belong.
Feels good.

I missed ya! I hope you come back to updating regularly. Since I don't do Twitter.
That's crazy that you experienced all those things that have been tragic lately! I'm glad everything went well. I'd really like to go back to D.C. someday with my hubby. I went there for a church history tour back in '04, but we only had one day in D.C. (NOT LONG ENOUGH!) I'm looking forward to your posts, good luck!
