  • So this morning I had one of those dreams that made me think, "Should I write this down? Is this my Stephanie Meyer dream that will lead to millions of dollars and watching my characters portrayed poorly on screen? Will those same actors play out some lame almost kiss at the MTV movie awards? Will my leading lady be a complete bia?"

Okay so I didn't think ALL that right away but I have since then. Cause you know, all she did was have a dream about a sparkling Edward and plain old Bella sitting in a sunny meadow and then she threw all the rest together.

I did have a crazy dream with really elaborate characters and an interesting premise with some fantasy thrown in there. I jotted down what I could remember, which wasn't much. But oh well. I'll leave it on the back burner and see if the rest of it comes to me and if it's enough to flesh out a novel. Wouldn't that be fun?

But for now I'm going to focus on my blog. And I'm going to steal my topics from somewhere else until I can get rid of this blog block.

Have you visited momversation? You should. There's a really fun panel of ladies that will talk about anything! It's super fun. I'm not a mom yet, but a lot of the discussions still apply to me since I have a husband and teenager of my very own. Their most recent conversation was about which spouse has a better deal. You know, who has the easier job, more fun, free time, less work.

I think the roles have changed through me and Jer's marriage. When I was in school, I think he had it better. He worked hard, but he could leave his work at work. My schoolwork stress followed me EVERYWHERE. I was also doing a lot of the housework.

Now, we're a lot more even, but I think I probably have it better. I do almost all of the housework, but Jer is good about pitching in when he's home. I'm not in school, so I'm trying to work on other things, get things done for Joey. I still have a lot of free time though, and way less stress.

I think eventually it will totally even out. When we have kids and he's working, or we're both working, I think it will be straight down the middle. It will have to be. One lady on momversation said they had an exact list because the workload share was causing major contention in their household. They both thought they were doing more. Me and Jer have had that issue too, but our system seems to be working now. Hopefully it will stay that way until we have to revaluate.
